Carolyn Tomlin

The Rev. Canon Carolyn Tomlin is a native of Halifax, and grew up in the Parish of St. Mark’s.  She holds a B.A. in Classics from the University of King’s College and an M.Div. from Atlantic School of Theology.  She was ordained Deacon in 1978 and Priest in 1980. She served as Curate in St Luke’s Dartmouth and as Rector in the Parishes of Musquodoboit, Arichat with Port Hawkesbury, Western Shore and St. Luke’s Dartmouth.   She served in many ministries and committees over the years in our Diocese, and retired in 2013.  She was then active in her husband John’s Parish in Eastern Passage until his retirement in 2016, when they moved to his family home in Halifax.  The first church we checked out in their new retirement life was St. Paul’s.   "And we found no need to check out any others!"

She is involved at St. Paul’s in Worship, the Chancel Guild, as past registrar of Lenten Retreats, and all kinds of little things that help to build our community.
