Andrew Killawee was born and raised in Halifax, and has been a visible presence in local music for more than a decade. He studied piano performance and conducting at Dalhousie University and was organ scholar, sub-organist and choral scholar at the University of King's College Chapel in Halifax under the supervision of Dr. Walter Kemp. Since then, Andrew has been summer organist at Wyndholme Christian Church, Dartmouth; tenor section leader at St. George's Anglican Church, Halifax; and music director at Birch Cove Baptist Church, Halifax.

Andrew is also active outside of church music as well. For more than 3 years, he performed and toured with the Juno and ECMA award winning Johnny Favourite Swing Orchestra. He has also performed with the Chester Brass Band and Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensemble.

In his spare time, Andrew works for Arcadia Entertainment, a local television production company.
